How much of a book addict are you?

You know I love books. If I were able to take the time to do what I really, really want to do it would be … read more books!

And if I were to be able to read more books my results would have been different. But .. I am getting ahead of myself.

You know I also enjoy quizzes. I found one through Pinterest that I thought you might like to try, too. It’s fun and will reveal how much of a book addict you are. Give it a try. It’s called, of course ….. how much of a book addict are you?

Here’s my result (and for myself I would replace ‘mother’ with ‘husband’):

Local library love; giveaway reminder

I just found THIS VIDEO on my local library’s Twitter feed. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

My library is still bringing books in for me for ReFoReMo, and I’m analyzing the few I have to take back soon. The challenge was a great learning experience for me; I thoroughly enjoyed it.

My fourth giveaway draw is tonight, but it seems I have to change the stipulation that I’ll send only to Canada or US for this one. This nice little photo pen is great as a Mother’s Day gift, or a gift to a grandparent – with the children’s photo in it.

My word for 2016

If you could choose any word at all to fit YOU in 2016, what would it be?

I’ve thought about this a lot, and waited, and listened, and waited, and thought some more. The result of all that is a word I’ve been feeling is for the year of 2016. It may be for my own life as well as extending far beyond me. Although other words came to mind, this one always rose to the top. That word is CHANGE.

Therefore, my word for 2016 is CHANGE.

What I foresee in my limited vision and understanding is the following, as applies to me:

letting go of some longstanding commitments, thereby allowing space for other things
seeing myself as the writer I am, thereby freeing myself to create
pushing forward, thereby completing and preparing stories and manuscripts for submission
still applying my last year’s word .. POSITIVITY .. thereby disallowing negativity and discouragement to pull me down or stop me
allowing God to affect change within me in those places that can not remain the same if I am to grow and move on

Change may seem a simple thing for you. For me it is a little unnerving, a little off-putting, while at the same time it is exciting, hopeful, and alluring.

Change is my word and also my goal for 2016. What is yours?
