Video: Susan Boyle sings Unchained Melody

I’m sure there is no one who has not heard of Susan Boyle or has somehow missed hearing her sing. I found this video of Susan singing the Righteous Brothers’ song Unchained Melody. It’s an amazing performance.

She followed her dream.

Are you pursuing your dream?

Video: Bride sings at her own wedding

It seems that each year many of the weddings that take place are plentiful in June, although not in my family. Maybe one of my daughters will choose that month, but not yet. The weddings in my family (my husband’s parents, my parents, and our siblings included) have been in May, July, August, October, and we have one coming up in September this year.

This video is of a bride singing with her dad at her wedding. I hope you enjoy it.

Did you do something bold like that at your wedding, or is there another wedding that stands apart in your memory for some special reason?

Video: hummingbird rescue

For some of us, spring weather has been moving in with dips into winter weather. Another bit of “weather” is coming today, so I thought this might be a good time to share a video with you to encourage you that warm weather is coming soon.

I hope this video works for you. It’s amazing!

Have you ever rescued an animal or bird?

Video: Live and Let Die by 2Cellos & Lang Lang

Today I don’t have anything “writerly” to share with you, but I do have a creative musical video for you to watch. Does that count? 🙂

You may remember I enjoy 2Cellos. This video is of 2Cellos and Lang Lang performing Live and Let Die. Amazing!  I hope you enjoy it.

Have you ever had the delight of attending a concert of 2Cellos or Lang Lang?

Gift experiment

It’s getting so close to Christmas! I don’t know about you, but I’m still not ready. We have one more week to finish everything.

Today my husband and I are attending the wedding of a young lady who is our youngest daughter’s best friend. They met in elementary school so have been best friends for most of their lives, making this even more special. Our daughter is one of her bridesmaids. Fortunately yesterday was the snowstorm and frigid temperatures, today is much better.

Before I end this post I want to share with you something you may have not seen yet. It’s a gift experiment. If you can get all the way through it without a tear in your eye by the end, you did better than I did.

GO HERE to watch it.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Any comments about the video? Did you shed a tear?

How are you doing with getting ready for Christmas or whatever it is you will enjoy this month?

Oh, and remember my final draw of 2016 is Tuesday night! Did you get your name in yet?

I am grateful – a video

It’s time to work out my funk. Sometimes things pile onto me and all I can easily see is problems and frustrations. It’s clear I have to adjust my attitude. I have to remind myself that I have so much to be grateful for, and I really, truly am grateful. With an attitude like that the blues and self-pity can’t stick. So … be gone negativity! This is a new day.

I was just now reminded of a scripture verse I particularly appreciate: This is the day the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it.  – Psalm 118:24

In light of that, today I am sharing with you a video you may have already seen and hopefully will like to watch again. It’s a spoken word poem by Natalie Patterson, as you will note below.

Enjoy!

Sending you hugs.

How do you pull yourself out of a potentially down day? For what are you grateful?
