I’m sure there is no one who has not heard of Susan Boyle or has somehow missed hearing her sing. I found this video of Susan singing the Righteous Brothers’ song Unchained Melody. It’s an amazing performance.

Video: Bride sings at her own wedding

It seems that each year many of the weddings that take place are plentiful in June, although not in my family. Maybe one of my daughters will choose that month, but not yet. The weddings in my family (my husband’s parents, my parents, and our siblings included) have been in May, July, August, October, and we have one coming up in September this year.

This video is of a bride singing with her dad at her wedding. I hope you enjoy it.

Gift experiment

It’s getting so close to Christmas! I don’t know about you, but I’m still not ready. We have one more week to finish everything.

Today my husband and I are attending the wedding of a young lady who is our youngest daughter’s best friend. They met in elementary school so have been best friends for most of their lives, making this even more special. Our daughter is one of her bridesmaids. Fortunately yesterday was the snowstorm and frigid temperatures, today is much better.

Before I end this post I want to share with you something you may have not seen yet. It’s a gift experiment. If you can get all the way through it without a tear in your eye by the end, you did better than I did.

I am grateful – a video

It’s time to work out my funk. Sometimes things pile onto me and all I can easily see is problems and frustrations. It’s clear I have to adjust my attitude. I have to remind myself that I have so much to be grateful for, and I really, truly am grateful. With an attitude like that the blues and self-pity can’t stick. So … be gone negativity! This is a new day.

I was just now reminded of a scripture verse I particularly appreciate: This is the day the Lord has made, let us be glad and rejoice in it. – Psalm 118:24

In light of that, today I am sharing with you a video you may have already seen and hopefully will like to watch again. It’s a spoken word poem by Natalie Patterson, as you will note below.
