My 9th Giveaway of 2016; Your chance to win a book!

I gave away the surprise again, didn’t I?  🙂  Well, I have a good reason. I know many people love free books, and this way you can see right off the top that a book is being offered for September.

This book is different. It’s one that, although outdated in some ways, is a very helpful guideline and filled with information to help you build a financially secure future for yourself. The time to start is NOW, no matter if you aren’t even out of school yet. Don’t wait until you’re nearing retirement to start planning for it. That would be a huge mistake.

Here’s my giveaway for September:

If you want the chance to win this book, please leave a comment telling me when you started your planning. (No one else is going to take care of us.)

I am offering this giveaway to my readers in the United States, but also in Canada if you don’t mind that this information is geared mainly to US financial services. There are ideas and guidelines in there for everyone, the specifics being more for the US. If you live outside those countries and you know someone in either of those countries who will keep it for you should you win, please feel free to enter. Just give me the Canada or US address if you do win.

I will use Random.org name picker to find out which of you is the winner. Watch here the morning after the draw for the announcement, and don’t forget to check your email. This could be yours!

Draw date for this giveaway is at 10 PM AST, that’s 9 PM Eastern, on Wednesday, September 14. This gives you over two weeks to pass the word on to others, too. I will post the winner’s name on September 15.

Remember, you have until September 14 to get your name into the draw, but don’t put it off!

Thanks for reading, and … Creative Musings! :)

My 8th giveaway of 2016; your chance to win … a BOOK!

Yes, okay, this time I gave away the surprise in my subject line. I just couldn’t help myself.  🙂

My August giveaway is this book:

A Room of One's Own

A Room of One’s Own by Virginia Woolf

I hadn’t yet read any of Virginia Woolf’s work, so when I found this book in a secondhand shop I had to buy it. As you have figured out, this is not a new copy but it’s in very good condition, nothing wrong with it.
If you want the chance to win this classic book, please leave a comment telling me if you have read any of the author’s work before.
Even if you already won something in an earlier draw, please feel free to enter again. I am offering this giveaway to my readers anywhere in the world!
I will use an automated name picker to find out which of you is the winner; therefore, repeat winners are by chance and fairly selected. Watch here the morning after the draw for the announcement, and don’t forget to check your email. This could be yours!
Draw date for this giveaway is at 10 PM AST, that’s 9 PM Eastern, on Wednesday, AUGUST 17. This gives you time to pass the word on to others, too. I will post the winner’s name on AUGUST 18.
Remember, you have until August 17 to get your name into the draw, but don’t put it off!
Thanks for reading, and … Creative Musings! 🙂

My 7th Giveaway of 2016; your chance to win!

I am much later than I had hoped to offer another giveaway. The good news is that next month’s will be something special and you’ll have more time to enter the draw. This month it is something handy and the draw is not far off.

In my shopping around and looking for items to give away, I have to bear in mind the cost of mailing these things to you. Therefore, what I offer is not big items; regardless, I do hope they are things you can use. This month it is more than one item in my giveaway, but all go together to one winner.

Take a look:

giveaway #7It’s a black zip bag, plastic, a sort of very large pencil case that is big enough to easily hold 8.5″x 12″ paper. It’ll be handy to store your writing things in or carry them around. It would also hold a manuscript.

With it I’m including a note pad for jotting down your story ideas (for example), and a package of brightly coloured sticky tag notes. Perhaps you can use them as bookmarks, or to mark certain passages of your notes so you can find them when you want to make changes or double-check your work.

Here are more images of the same things.

The quote on the bag is by Gandhi, “You must be the change you want to see in the world.” The bag has a mesh back so you can identify what you put in there.

Late, but here it is … my giveaway for June!

This time I have something for you that’s handy – something in which you can carry your books and writing supplies.  And it’s attractive, too.

Of course, you can use it for carrying other things as well, but in keeping with my main focus I’m thinking about reading and writing.

My 4th giveaway of 2016; your chance to win!

Are you ready for another giveaway?

In keeping with writing and reading, this month I am offering something handy and a little different.

I thought you might like to have this lovely blue ink pen – blue pen with blue ink. The unique thing about this keepsake pen is that you can insert a small photo in the top of it. Cool, huh? You twist the writing point out because of that feature.

This pen also has a clip back so you can clip it onto a page of stationery or a shirt pocket to make it harder to lose.

If you want to enter the draw for a chance to win this keepsake photo pen, leave a comment telling me if you devised a clever way to not lose your pens, or if you are like me and often have to search whenever you need one.

Draw date for this giveaway is at 10 PM AST, that’s 9 PM Eastern, on  Wednesday, April 13. This gives you lots of time to pass the word on to others, too.

I will use Random.org name picker to find out which of you is the winner. Watch here the next morning for the announcement, and don’t forget to check your email. These could be yours!

Remember, you have until April 13 to get your name into the draw, but don’t put it off!

PS: I have been trying to find things easy to mail so that I can send them anywhere. I was told at the post office that to mail overseas it’s much easier to send something that is paper, otherwise postage leaps in price – as in doubles! – even if it’s the same weight. Seems a little ridiculous to me, but that’s their rule – not mine.  Because of that, I am very sorry that I can offer this item only to my readers in Canada and the United States.

I AM WILLING AND ABLE TO SEND THIS ITEM ANYWHERE. (CHECKED AT POST OFFICE AND FOUND AN ACCEPTABLE RATE FOR THIS.)

Thanks for reading, and … Creative Musings!  🙂

My 3rd Giveaway of 2016! Your chance to win!

Are you ready for another giveaway?

While out shopping with one of my daughters recently I had you in mind. I wanted to find something for my next giveaway. When I discovered these fun bookmarks I knew this is the one for March.

I really like this type of bookmark as it is magnetic and clips over the page in your book. It’s very hard to lose it then, and you can easily find your place because this bookmark can’t slip down between your pages. Of course, that means you have to be reading a paper book. 🙂

Take a look. Aren’t they cute? I think they’re great for book lovers, and so easy to use.  There are three on the card with instructions on the back of the card.
