Sending gratitude to my father, who served in the South Pacific in WWII. Sending gratitude to my father-in-law, who served in France and Italy in WWII. Remembering my cousin who died in the Viet Nam conflict. Thank you for giving us this space for remembering, Polilla. I’m a US citizen, but I grew up in the North very close to the Canadian border. I’m ever grateful for Canada and its people, glorious and free.

Thank you, Sue, for responding to this post. This year the Remembrance Day services all across our great country were very well attended because of recent certain tragic and senseless events here.
I appreciate your taking the time to honour those in your family who served.
