NaNoWriMo = National Novel Writing Month
On this page I am, for my fourth year in a row, keeping an updated word count throughout the NaNoWriMo challenge, posting every day – if possible. The goal is 50,000 words from November 1-30, which means an average of 1667 words a day!
I am writing as a NaNo Rebel, trying to finish the novel I started during NaNo 2010, and which I have worked on only during the November challenge each year since. I hope to complete it this year.

November 28: I started out with good intentions, but having only 1423 words by day 21 I have decided to give up this year instead of puttering away at it. I hate quitting! But, maybe next year …

It was not a decision made lightly, David, but I feel better having done it. I have not given up on my novel, though! 🙂
