MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

It’s been a bit of a struggle being me of late, which is why I haven’t been here much the past several months, but I am hoping to get back into blogging soon so we can keep in touch.

What has your heart thumping excitedly today? I am thankful for what the Lord has done for any who will believe and accept. It’s totally amazing!

And … my family is all meeting at my Dad’s for dinner today, except two members are in Florida for Christmas this year and will Facetime with us, but my mom-in-law is joining us. Yay!  It will be a delightful day, 15 of us eating and sharing together. Greetings and hugs! Turkey and loads of veggies! Gifts! Desserts! Hugs! Laughter! More hugs! I love it.

I will see you in the new year, if not before. We have things to talk about. 🙂

Sending you much love.

So, what has your heart thumping excitedly today?

Thanks for reading, and … Blessings on your day!

Love,  Lynn

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

MERRY CHRISTMAS to you!

May your holidays be cheerful and touched with sweet blessings from god.

Our Christmas day has started out fun with one daughter staying over last night. Probably ten of us (Dad, my sister and family, my husband and some of ours) will get together at my dad’s for Christmas dinner; not as many there this year because two of ours will be spending that time with the other sides of their families. Then there’s the craziness of gifts exchange, which is always amusing and interesting. Dessert follows that mild chaos, having given time for the main course to settle. 🙂 After clean-up our daughters and families will come out to our house for gifts exchange among us. And, of course, more food since it will be close to meal time again. It will be a full and fun day.

Our house is nicely decorated and I even got some baking done – not as much as I had wanted to do, although there’s plenty.

In all of this, it’s sometimes a little hard to remember why all of it is happening. It came out of the celebration of Jesus Christ’s birth. Now …. for many people  it’s so very not about Him at all.

For those of us who know Him and His Truth … I wish you a deeper joy in your relationship with Him. Personally, I know no greater love and nothing stirs my heart the way He does. I cannot express all He is to me.

For those who have not made that choice/decision … my wish for you is that Truth will find you and you will find Answers for your life.

Merry Christmas everyone!  I send my love and best wishes.

Oh come, let us sing to the Lord! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. – Psalm 95:1

The Atonement

I hope you have had a blessed Easter.  This amazing occasion is a time, for me, of thinking over what it really means, what God did for us through Jesus Christ. It is a time to marvel and stand in awe and gratitude.

If you have ever wondered what it is really all about, there is a website that explains The Atonement better than anywhere I’ve read it or heard it discussed. Go to The Threshing Floor to read it for yourself.

Easter.crossToday has been a busy family day. Sixteen of us met at Dad’s to share a delicious meal together, a meal to which there were many contributions so that one or two people don’t have to do the whole thing. The youngest in attendance is almost 10, the oldest is almost 90. It used to be the females outnumbered the males, but it’s now the other way around – today girls 6, guys 10. As you can imagine, there is always a lot of food prepared – and eaten, but always there are some leftovers to divide up.

Do you have family events to enjoy? What does Easter mean to you?
