I should have been twins.
If I were twins I could divide between myself all the things I want less to do so that it takes half the time to do them. Then all I want to do and have the most interest and desire for can be enjoyed … giving me a better chance to feel accomplished in completing things – or getting better at them.
Or maybe not.
If I were twins I would most likely take on twice as much, get hopelessly overwhelmed with no recovery possible, and continue to not have enough of me to go around.
So, I am plugging along. Not getting nearly as much accomplished as I want to. Being way too tired too much of the time. And behind as usual. Almost hopelessly behind with little chance of catching up. That’s me, plugging along.

I always feel behind as well but at the end of the year, I look back and see that I did accomplish quite a bit. Perhaps we are just too hard on ourselves. I have managed to get some work done on Amanda in Holland these past few weeks. baby steps.

ah yes. I am definitely too hard on myself in some ways, too easy in others. Too easy and then I am chastising myself for being a slacker. I can’t win! 🙂

I constantly struggle with the notion that I’m not accomplishing what I’d like to especially when it comes to writing. I’m in awe of writers who can continually churn out books. But, as you say, I’ll keep plugging along. Eventually we’ll get there, Lynn..

My first thought was, Laura, you’re already there! But I get what you’re saying. I guess if we didn’t feel this way we wouldn’t make any progress at all. Your goals and writing habits and what you can accomplish are different from mine.
