“The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” ~Dr. Seuss
I like to read — but I think you knew that. 😉

How many on the list were you able to check off? Are your favourites on there; if not, what would you add? Are any of these books on your to-be-read list?
Thanks for reading, and … Creative Musings! 🙂
I have read 31 of these books. Some of my favourites are there but missing are the other Jane Austen novels, all of which are on my list of favourites. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Darlene. Having completed less than that I have some serious reading to do!

These are all great, but I’d have to have the Percy Jackson books at the top of my list.

Percy Jackson as authored by Rick Riordan? I have the Lightning Thief but have not read it yet. I must do that soon!
Thanks, Kelly.

Great list. I see a lot of favorites and will have to try some of the ones I haven’t read that are on your list. I’d trade in the Twilight series for A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones, Clash of Kings, Storm of Swords, Feast for Crows, & Dance of Dragons) which would be very close to the top of my list. I’d also add some of Mark Twain’s books…A Connecticut Yankee and the Prince & the Pauper.

Welcome to my blog, Karen.
The books you mentioned look very good; thanks for introducing them. Mark Twain seems always a good choice.

Great list. I’ve read 28 of these. I see a lot of familiar titles I still haven’t gotten to: Catcher in the Rye, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, The Giver – these are all on my TBR list.

Some of the books on the list I like/love and others I want to read and others not so much (like the Twilight series). Thanks for sharing the list!

I’ve read 11 on the list. My favourite book mentioned is “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!” I feel like I’ve read it all my life, first for myself and then to my kids. One of my all time favourites was the DaVinci Code. I couldn’t put it down once I started. I think I read it in five days; a record for me with a book that long.

It’s interesting the differences in people’s reading lists, but that’s what gives us such a wide variety from which to choose. One of your all-time favourites is not one on my list at all. The long one I like is War and Peace, although – because I’m taking my time reading it – I haven’t finished it yet.
Thanks for your comment, Diane.

Nice to see you, Laura. I have not read his books; perhaps I should look for them.
Thanks for adding to this.
