A List: 64 most-liked books

I like to read — but I think you knew that. 😉 

I also like checking out lists. If you do, too, here is one you might enjoy. Scholastic believes you are what you read. They compiled a list of sixty-four most-liked books, and even though these are included in the adult books list, a few are children’s books. You will notice that some on this list are complete sets and a few of those in the sets are also listed as single books.

  1. I have read 31 of these books. Some of my favourites are there but missing are the other Jane Austen novels, all of which are on my list of favourites. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Great list. I see a lot of favorites and will have to try some of the ones I haven’t read that are on your list. I’d trade in the Twilight series for A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones, Clash of Kings, Storm of Swords, Feast for Crows, & Dance of Dragons) which would be very close to the top of my list. I’d also add some of Mark Twain’s books…A Connecticut Yankee and the Prince & the Pauper.

  4. Great list. I’ve read 28 of these. I see a lot of familiar titles I still haven’t gotten to: Catcher in the Rye, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, The Giver – these are all on my TBR list.

  6. I’ve read 11 on the list. My favourite book mentioned is “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!” I feel like I’ve read it all my life, first for myself and then to my kids. One of my all time favourites was the DaVinci Code. I couldn’t put it down once I started. I think I read it in five days; a record for me with a book that long.

    1. It’s interesting the differences in people’s reading lists, but that’s what gives us such a wide variety from which to choose. One of your all-time favourites is not one on my list at all. The long one I like is War and Peace, although – because I’m taking my time reading it – I haven’t finished it yet.
